Frequently Asked Questions?
What is a Photo Video Montage?
A Photo Video Montage combines your photographs with your favorite songs to create a compelling video presentation. The photos are animated using panning and zooming as well as different transitions, giving images a new life. Photo Video Montages are great to show at parties, such as weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs and graduations and are the perfect gift for any special occasion!
What is a Photo Video Loop?
A Photo Video Loop is the same as a montage except without music. Often this is used during the cocktail hour to display any other photos on screens around the room as your guests enjoy the cocktail hour.
Know your audience.
Knowing who your intended audience is an obvious, but sometimes overlooked step in the process of developing your slide show. For instance, if you’re showing your Photo Video Montage at a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, perhaps you’ll want to include some pictures of your guests with your child, and not just pictures of your child. People love to see themselves on the big screen.
How long is a typical video?
Most photo video montages are between 10 and 18 minutes long. This is the perfect length to keep viewers captivated. That usually works out to about 3 songs or parts of songs and 75-150 pictures. While you can certainly display more photos during your show, you want to be careful not to subject your guests to an extremely long slide show. Some people have elected to develop two slide shows. One that is their “personal” slide show that will be given to their parents, grand-parents or kept for themselves and the other is there “reception” slide show that will be shown during the big event. I strongly believe that it’s a personal choice after all this is meant to be treasured for years to come.
How long does it take to create a Photo Video Montage or Photo Video Loop?
Each project is usually completed within two to three weeks. However, the time it takes us to create your video depends on a variety of factors. If you need your video in less than a week, this may be possible for a rush order fee.
How do I plan my Photo Video Montage?
In short, you select the photographs that you want to use, can be prints, both black and white or color and digital as well, put them in order( please number the backs), pick songs, and decide on titles. Given the standard 4:3 dimensions of television monitors, photographs that are in landscape mode (vertical), as opposed to portrait mode (horizontal) show better on a TV. Please try to gather ALL pictures at one time. A lot of additional time and money is involved when you later want to add more pictures.
How do I select music?
You should use songs that are meaningful to you and fit the mood of the photos and event. You can either provide your songs to us on CD or have us purchase them for you for $2.00 per song. See list attached for some song suggestions.
How can I present my video?
Your video can be presented on either a television set or on a projection screen. A television is fine for small groups, but using a projector is preferable if you are presenting your video in a large hall. To present your video on a projection screen, you would need an LCD projector connected to a laptop or DVD player.
Test! Test! Test! If you’re planning on showing your video photo montage at an event like a bar/bat mitzvah, try and test ALL equipment prior to the big day. Make sure the projector or television, DVD player or laptop is working and sound is all good.
Are the DVDs that you burn compatible with my DVD player?
DVDs that we create are burned on DVD+R media, which is compatible with the vast majority of home DVD players as well as most laptops. They may not be compatible with Apple computers.
Is your work guaranteed?
Yes, if there is a problem with your video that is a result of our error, just contact us within a week of the time that you received it and we will fix your video and send you new copies as soon as possible.
How much does a Montage or Loop cost?
